Final Four

Even though my 50% record for the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 doesn't really lend itself to any especially trustworthy predictions, here are my Final Four Predictions:

UCONN defeats Michigan State. I don't really know how MSU got to this point, but I do know how UCONN has. They have been straight bigger, stronger, quicker, and more talented than every team they have played. My god, that size! They start 6-2, 6-3, 6-7, 6-9, 7-3. That's some NBA shit (pardon the French)... And that's without one of their stars and leaders, Jerome Dyson. Austrie, Price and Robinson have really stepped their game up in the tourney, while Adrien and Thabeet have continued their excellent play.

UNC over Villanova. This has the potential to be a really, really exciting game. Tempo should be fast though Villanova will try to slow down Lawson & company. The Heels sould prove to be too much, but if Hansbrough gets in any sort of foul trouble, watch out.

  • In other news, I've decided to put the Kobe-LeBron article off until the beginning of the playoffs in mid-April. I am also proud to announce that I am now the owner of one pair of size 10.5 Nike Zoom LeBron VI Superman Edition shoes. There were about 150 pairs of these released at House of Hoops locations in New York, Chicago, and LA on March 20th. I have yet to decide if I will ever actually wear them, or treat them as an investment. You see, if LeBron's brand ever reaches anything remotely similar to Air Jordan, and he gets a few rings, these shoes should be eclipsing 1G range. They are dope for sure though.
